How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
My company is super flexible. I can WFH a lot which is really cool
Professional, Auckland
Very ?exible. Their saying is "if it works for you and it works for the client then it works for AECOM'. There is obviously still the expectation that you meet your required work hours but the ?exibility is great. However, as a young professional it is encouraged that you have standard work hours and come into the o?ce in order to get the best learning. But if you need to move your day around there is great ?exibility.

I work from 40-50 hours a week. As a young graduate who needs more pay. I do not mind working overtime. AECOM allows us to work paid overtime as long as it is justified so I am generally pleased.

For graduates it is very unlikely that we would work for longer than 8 hours a day. They do not expect us to work long hours. Hours are pretty flexible as long as you come in at a reasonable time and get your work done.

Encouraged to spend 3 days a week in the office but not strictly enforced.

Thankfully, AECOM is very flexible with work hours as long as you are hitting your 40hrs a week. We also have work at home kits, courtesy of AECOM, so we can always work from home whenever we want to. There are instances where you need to work more than 40hrs in a week to meet deadlines, but thats standard across most companies.

Very flexible and understanding of my responsibilities outside of work. I have been able to balance my work and my life commitments well so far.

Very flexible, as long as you make all your commitments people don't seem to mind what time of day you work your hours

I stick to my 8 hours pretty well and very often work my hours around other stuff that is going on in my life. I very much enjoy doing activities outside of the office and after work, so the flexible work hours are very important to me.

Our Company is really flexible on our hours, if it works for your manager and the client then it is all good. Most work 40hrs a week, we have a few people who work between 3 and 4 days a week, with them being able to do that as reduced hours as well. We have a couple of team members who are coming back from maternity leave that are only in the office one day a week. You can shift hours around as needed for appointments or just life in general. A high proportion of the team come in before 8am and leave before 5pm, and we can work evenings as well if we take afternoons off.

I think it could be more flexible. It is all good working from home but I would like more emphasis on coming into the office for part of the day. Currently I feel as though tha tis frowned upon

Hours are very flexible as long as they're communicated clearly, don't need to worry much about appointment times etc., as the option to WFH is also available.

Hours are very flexible as long as we complete 40 hours a week

Very flexible within a week. Not that flexible from one week to another, but as long as a week adds to 40hrs, you are ok. They generally want you to be available during key business hours. Very flexible with work from home etc.

It is not flexible due to needing to be present for construction phase support. Hoping for it to improve when I move to design.

Typically 40 hrs per week.

Completely flexible, I am set up to work from home at my own discretion

Depends on how brave you are, some people use the flexibility while others are scared of it. It's never been clear how flexible hours can be used.
